Denmark  are different – places that are worth seeing and about which guides rarely write.

Denmark  are most often associated with Copenhagen, the Little Mermaid and Legoland. These are, of course, places worth seeing, but it is also worth visiting the less known ones. It is precisely where the trips do not reach that you can feel the Danish lifestyle – simple, free and close to nature…

Contact with nature

One such place is Hedeland, located near Copenhagen, yet still little known to tourists. Once an industrial area, today a huge recreational area full of lakes, hills and wild vegetation. There are no great attractions here, but this is its greatest advantage – peace, quiet and the beauty of nature…

In the north of Jutland, it is worth visiting Agger Tange, a narrow strip of land that separates the North Sea from the fjord. It is a place where we can take beautiful photos especially at sunrise or sunset. You won’t find a restaurant or a café on every corner, but there are birds, wildlife and a place to relax!

Islands

Denmark is famous for its islands, but many of them are not very popular with tourists. One of them is Fanø, located near Esbjerg. Huge, almost empty beaches, traditional thatched houses and seals are waiting for you here 😉 It is the perfect place for long walks, cycling and recreation.

Even more intimate is the island of Fur in Limfjord. It is known mainly from fossils and characteristic cliffs. It offers a peaceful atmosphere. It is a great place for people who want to relax from everyday life, walk along the coast and feel the real local life of the residents.

Small towns

Traveling around Denmark, it is also worth visiting smaller cities. One such place is Nykøbing Falster. Colorful tenement houses, a port, local cafes and the lack of crowds of tourists make it possible to feel the true atmosphere of the Danish province. It is also a great starting point to discover the southern part of the country.

Another noteworthy place is Mollerup Skov – a forest that rarely appears in the “must see” rankings. And it is an ideal place for a quiet walk, picnic or watching wild animals.

By visiting lesser-known places in Denmark, we can get to know this country as its inhabitants live on a daily basis. No rush, no crowds. It is a real Denmark, where contact with nature, simplicity and balance count. Such a journey allows you not only to see new places, but also to relax and appreciate small pleasures.

So if you are planning a trip to Denmark and want to see something more than what the guides show, use our suggestions. Often they are the ones that remain in memory the longest.
